Supported Employment

We provide comprehensive job-hunting and job-coaching services to support consumers in locating, obtaining, and maintaining competitive employment. Services include creating and updating resumes, finding and completing job applications in both paper and online formats, identifying volunteer opportunities, and assisting with contacting managers and human resources representatives.

Consumers receive coaching in essential soft skills such as dressing for success, setting and following an alarm schedule, demonstrating appropriate workplace demeanor and behavior, and practicing effective time management.

Additional supports include conducting mock job interviews, reviewing and discussing commonly asked interview questions, arranging job-shadowing opportunities to familiarize consumers with potential positions, keeping consumers task-oriented while on the job, and teaching the essential duties and responsibilities required for successful employment. Instruction is individualized and may include additional customary skill-building to address the specific needs and goals of each consumer.
