Housing Transition & Tenancy Sustaining
Housing Transition & Tenancy Sustaining services support consumers in obtaining and maintaining safe, stable housing while developing the skills needed for long-term independent living. Services include assistance with locating and securing housing, understanding lease agreements and tenant rights and responsibilities, budgeting for rent and utilities, and communicating effectively with landlords and property managers.
Consumers receive instruction in maintaining a clean and safe living environment, following household rules, managing schedules and appointments, and resolving issues that may impact housing stability. Additional supports focus on developing daily living routines, accessing community resources, and addressing challenges that could place tenancy at risk. Instruction is individualized and may include other customary skill-building activities tailored to the specific needs and goals of each consumer to promote housing stability and long-term success.
